We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Compliance Consultant to join our tax team at Calan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the corporate income tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate tax returns are filed, and managing tax audits. The Senior Tax Compliance Consultant will work with new data-driven technologies, such as RPA and AI, to streamline our tax processes, ultimately enabling them to complete tasks that currently take 8 hours in just 30 minutes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the corporate income tax compliance process, including preparing monthly CIT calculations, yearly CIT calculations, and WHT.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax returns are filed.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to provide tax guidance and support on business initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, including auditors and tax authorities.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding provided documentation and any tax issues that arise.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and planning, preferably at a big 4 or similar firm.
- Familiarity with PowerQuery is desired but not required.
- Experience with data-driven technologies, such as RPA or AI, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
